A company's envelopes and letterhead are often the first exposure a company has with potential client or customer.  Handwritten return addresses on envelopes are not taken very seriously in the business climate.

Letterhead

• Letterhead Specifications: Standard Letterhead size is 8.5" x 11".  The standard Printing Area on Letterheads is the top 1/2 or bottom 1/2 of a letterhead.  In addition, the following margins apply - 3/8" margin on the top, 1/4" margin on the sides and bottom.

• Letterhead Inks: Letterheads can be Thermographed (Printed with Raised Ink), Thermographed with Laser Compatible © Raised Ink, or printed with Flat Ink.  Regular Thermography is NOT suitable for Laser Printers, please specify Laser Compatible © Raised Ink if you plan to use your stationery with Laser Printers or Copiers. Only 10% screens are available. Bleeds are NOT available for letterheads.

• Letterhead Foil: Certain type (small or thin) is not suitable for Foil Stamping. We will not foil stamp a solid area more than 1.5" square (2.25 sq. inches) or a rule over 7.5" long. On letterheads which contain Raised ink and Foil Stamping, the two may not occur within 1/32" of each other. Bleeds are not available for Foil Stamping.

• Letterhead Stock: Various Letterhead papers of the best quality are available. All paper used for letterheads have Laser Compatible finishes.  Recycled paper meet EPA specifications for recycled paper.

Envelopes

• Envelope Specifications: Regular Envelope size is 4.125" x 9.5" (#10). The standard Printing Area on Envelopes is any are within the following margins - 3/8" margin on the top, 3/8" margin on the sides and 1/4" margin on the bottom. On Window Envelopes, the printing area is restricted to the upper left corner with 4 lines of copy, also - 3/4" space is needed between the window and any copy on thermographed window envelopes. Window envelopes are NOT compatible with Laser Printers or Copiers due to the recyclable glassine window. Note - the U.S. Post Office states that you will get better service if nothing is printed on the bottom or sides of an envelope and printing should be no lower than 1 3/8" from the top of the envelope.
